The Telescope Array's John Matthews recently spoke with Astronomy Blogger Joe Bauman about the work currently being done by the project at its Southern Utah facility located near Delta, Utah.
Bauman and Matthews discuss the history of cosmic ray research and the big questions that the field is currently trying to answer, as well as the specific work that is being done by researchers working on the Telescope Array Project. Matthews also talks about the planned expansion to the experiment, which will vastly increase the overall footprint of the array, allowing scientists to more precisely measure where these particles are coming from and hopefully shedding light on their mysterious origins. Matthews also discusses the future of cosmic ray research in the skies above Utah.
